My son s going into Kindergarten this year after attending CES last year for 4k. His teacher last year was great and he loved her! She really made it easier dealing with the joint custody situation. We meet his new teacher tomorrow at registration day, my close friend and neighbor has had only positive things to say about her. It has really been a great experience.

My daughter had a great teacher for K5, and good teacher for 1st grade but this year we got a second year teacher, not sure if their not preparing them as well in college or if its the lack of leadership from the principal. They are both on their second year at the school and appear nice but have no follow thru/follow up and are not at all parent firendly. I'm hoping its not a downhill trend but it seems like it.

Cambridge elementary I was happy the first year my son had a great teacher for K5, then in 1st grade the teacher was good but a litte stand offish and not so parent friendly but that was ok people have different personalities, I guess she was just better with kids than parents. However this year my son has a second year teacher and it shows, she seems more concerned with socializing with the other teachers and some things have happen that clearly show she does not have control of the classroom. I'm hoping this for a better teacher next year for my son.

I grew up in Cambridge and attended (as well as my 2 younger sisters) it seems that since then 1990 they have made a positive change. I have a sister with aspergers, and a sister with severe dyslexia and ADHA. When my sisters were in school, they spent years struggling academicly and socaily. Canbridge never thought to test them, and finally just threw them into a "special ed" classroom without being evaluated. Now I have a daughter of my own and I found myself back in Cambridge. I cannot say enough positive, now it seems they have done a 360. My daughter is struggling in math, reading and writing (she's in 1st grade now) within a month she had been tested and evaluated and she had a team of 8 teachers and specialists to help her (and me as well). I've spoke with other parents who have struggling children and they tell me it can take a very very long time just to get the ball rolling. I am nothing but impressed with the gains she has made, and the teachers she has had and does have. I can see that her teachers love their job and truly have her best interest at heart. Any parent in search of a school with a great student teacher ratio,& a amazing staff should look into this school.
