Sun Prairie is a vibrant and thriving community located just east of Madison. The city benefits from its proximity to the Madison and the University of Wisconsin. The race track has a 1/3 mile dirt race track and it has been run by the Sun Prairie Fire Department since 1903. Racing occurs every Sunday approximately Memorial Day until Labor Day. Angell Park Speedway is in the top ten of all dirt race tracks across the country and is known as the “Midwest’s Finest Clay Oval”. Sun Prairie Ice Arena is right around the corner from the park and features two NHL-sized rinks available for hockey games, open skates, birthday parties and cooperate events. The business community is BOOMING with recent additions of a new movie theater, Target, Cabela’s, Costco and tons of bars and restaurants. The Sun Prairie School District has an exceptional reputation with offering some of the best programming and sport facilities. Sun Prairie Area School Districts has two high schools, Sun Prairie East and Sun Prairie West. A family run athletic club, Prairie Athletic Club, boost Wisconsin’s largest athletic club title. With over 250,000 sq ft of fitness and recreation offering all and everything you can imagine including childcare.
