Ranking the best location to buy a house in the Madison, WI Area can be a subjective task, as people have different preferences and priorities when it comes to housing and community. Shorewood Hills is a suburb of Madison surrounded by Madison and Lake Mendota only a minute away from the Capitol Building. The heavily wooded home sites sit on varying terrain with narrow roadways and beautiful views. The First Unitarian Society Meeting House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is in Shorewood Hills. It’s very reflective of the community’s modern architecture and mid-century home designs.
Blackhawk Country Club, a private 18 hole golf course, offers members more than just golf. Enjoy the club house for lunch, dinner or a special event. In the winter you can sled, cross country ski or downhill ski. The Shorewood Hills Pool has 10 olympic length lanes for swimming and diving competitions plus it can be used for water ballet, water aerobics and swim lessons.
