Deforest/Windsor is just minutes north of Madison wedged between Interstate 90/94 and Highway 51. It’s built around an elaborate park and trails system. The Yahara River guides the Upper Yahara River Trail that runs side-by-side and presents a natural rural backdrop throughout. The trail has a starting point and parking lot off Windsor Rd near Sunfish Pond. The neighborhoods are built around an elaborate park system.
Fireman's Park sits right in the middle of it all and hosts many celebrations including their spectacular 4th of July Firework show. Join in on the family fun with a walk in the parade, view the car show, listen to live music or cool down with a beverage in the beer tent. Windsor version of Fireman’s Park hosts many youth baseball/softball games including batting cages and is the location for WindsorFest.

May home sales in Dane County remain high even with the drastic mortgage interest rate rise. Inventory issues and cost of new construction continue to drive up home values. Dane County's median home price was $389,900 which was up 8.30%, from last May.This chart shows increased median home values, month over month, for the previous 5 years. Dane County is showing super strong levels of appreciation with continued growth year over year too.Dane County had 786 homes sold in May which was down from total homes sold last May of 851. A decrease of 7.64% compared to last year.As buyers continue to battle over limited listings in Dane County, home prices continue to rise. We fully expect the demand to exceed the availability of homes throughout 2022. Though the 30 yr fixed sharply increased to over 6%, shrinking the buyer pool slightly. Clean the inside, outside and behind. Replace the water filter and inspect the ice maker. Also make sure you wash and repair the door gaskets to ensure highest efficiency. Apply a light coat of petroleum jelly to the top and front of the gasket to keep a tight seal.

Cross Plains was given its name by a settler from Cross Plains, Tennessee. It is located approximately 12 miles west of Madison. With 13 parks and approximately 63 acres of open space, amenities such as baseball, football and soccer fields, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, swimming pool, outdoor skating rinks, playground equipment, sand volleyball courts, picnic shelters, and a World Class Trout Stream, the Black Earth Creek. Plus more than 160 acres of conservancy land with roughly 25 miles of community and regional trails, including the Ice Age Trail.
