McFarland is connected to Madison's Eastside and on the shores of Lake Waubesa & Lake Kegonsa. There you'll find McDaniel Park featuring a shelter, play structure, drinking fountain, volleyball court, and beach. The pier at McDaniel Park is open to the public during regular park hours.The McFarland Parks system has about sixty-six acres of active and accessible passive park facilities, ranging from larger community parks like William McFarland Park, boat launch and campground at Babcock County Park and neighborhood parks like Legion Park.
McFarland Family Festival offers entertainment that is geared toward all ages with live music, car show, parade and triathlon. Marshall is 20 miles east of Madison in the northeast corner of Dane County.
It has a variety of recreational amenities and parks. Including the state ranked Bird’s Ruins Disc Golf Course, Charles Langer Family Park, Whistle Stop Campground and their nature based playground and facilities at Converse Park and Firemen’s Park. The Maunesha River runs through Firemen’s Park which offers residents and tourists the ability to canoe, kayak, softball, baseball and picnicking. Just outside of town, Little Amerricka, a small amusement park features 26 rides and attractions.
The Marshall Community Library offers a wide variety of programs and services for all ages.
The Marshall Fireman’s Picnic in September offers a fish fry, car show, live music, beer tent, tractor and truck pull plus raffle. Grab a drink at the Silver Fox, a pizza at Rusty’s Pizza and Grill or dinner at The Barrel Inn.

Maple Bluff is a suburb of Madison and site of the Wisconsin’s Governor’s Mansion. The Village became established in the late 1890's by Thomas E. Coleman. It’s a small community of gorgeous homes on the shores of Lake Mendota.
Maple Bluff Country Club is a private golf club that offers its members first class services. The 18 hole course dates back to 1899. Its beautifully manicured and challenging layout is considered one of the finest golf courses in the Midwest. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and home to the Maple Bluff Muckies Swim and Dive Team. Maple Bluff Country Club offers year-round racquet sports with several tennis courts and two state-of-the-are paddle tennis courts for its members. The facility offers year-round dining and banquet plus a fitness center.
