Oregon WI is straight south of Madison just 7 miles using US Hwy 14. It has both a Village and Town of Oregon. Its school district, Oregon School District, serves residents of Brooklyn, Fitchburg and Madison too. A recent renovation has other local high schools envious of their amenities.
Enjoy Oregon Summer Fest every June with live music, carnival rides, car show, parade, volleyball and softball tournament, fireworks and a run/walk. Like to golf……..check out either Foxboro Golf Club on to the public or The Legend at Bergamont which is a private club with a pool. Oregon Jaycee Park is where all the action is every weekend with a ton of soccer fields, Oregon Ice Arena, Skate Park, tennis courts, softball and baseball diamonds and outdoor shelter. A West Park location is currently fundraising to expand their park to include more fields for rugby, lacrosse and pickleball plus more soccer and ball diamonds. Swim at Oregon Public Swimming Pool, take a walk on the trails at Lerner Conservation Park, Keller Alpine Meadows Park or Anderson Farm County Park or let your dog run at the Jon Blanchard Dog Park.
Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce does a great job promoting, informing, connecting and advocating for its local businesses. Make sure to join them for their Christmas Tree Lighting and Chili Dinner. Get a coffee at Firefly Coffeehouse, Ice Cream at Ziggy’s, a burger at Headquarters Bar and Grill, a drink at Mulligan’s Bar and Grill, or pizza at Larocca Pizzeria.
