January home sales in Columbia County continue to surge due to record low mortgage interest rates and an inventory shortage. Columbia County's median home price was $243,000 in January, which was up 13.95% from last January.
This chart shows the median home values, month over month, for the previous 5 years. 2020 sales were only topped 3 times in the last 3 years in any given month, compared to 2020. January of 2021 started off with a drastic increase similar to last year.
Columbia County had 43 homes sold in January, which was up 7.50% from last January.
Strong year-end sales continued into January of 2021. We fully expect real estate in 2021 to remain in high demand for the entire year. High demand directly impacts increased home sale prices so don't wait to buy in fear of competition. The biggest mistake you can make is not to buy. Start gaining equity in your home today!
